When I became a mom I learned what it truly means to get up and show up anyway, even on the days when it feels like my world is turning upside down.
When I became a single mom I learned what it means to be fiercely capable, strong, and independent. I stepped into my own power and tapped into the potential that was waiting to be unleashed.
When I became a single working mom I learned that, besides myself, there is absolutely nothing and no one that can stop me from fulfilling my purpose on this earth, and that I’m going to accomplish my hefty goals in life.
Growing up, my adult life in my mind went like this: graduate high school, maybe go to college and graduate but mostly just find a way to make dance my professional career, get married, have a happy, healthy family, and dance dance dance. There was no other option in my mind.
But life doesn’t work like that. And oftentimes it happens in ways you wouldn’t expect or want. I graduated high school, went to a year of college, got married & had a kid, realized dance wouldn’t be what I thought it would be in my life, had my marriage harshly end, and was forced into a life I never pictured for myself.
The plot twist?
I’ve never, ever been happier.
That happiness is from being in lowest of lows and going through some really hard trials that broke me.
I would’ve NEVER thought I would be in the tech industry as a saleswoman especially having not finished college. I NEVER would have thought I would be a professional working woman. I NEVER would have thought I would go back to school in the field of Entrepreneurship. And, I STILL get to dance, be an awesome mom, and teach Leo what it means to turn your trials into blessings. I’ve never felt closer to my purpose, and I know this is only getting me closer to where I’m headed next. It’s only upside from here.
Looking back to when I first moved to Utah last June to now, I’m astounded at the growth. I cannot wait to keep the momentum going and see where life takes me!! I feel so incredibly blessed with all the opportunities sent my way to grow and flourish. I won’t ever take them for granted
