A couple weeks ago after church one Sunday I really wanted to go up into the mountains and take some fall pictures of Leo and I.

I recruited my friend Andrew to take some pictures on my own DSLR camera and was just planning on telling him what to do 🤪 as we were scoping out a location and as I was telling him what to do, the SWEETEST human came up to us, while she was there taking pictures herself, and asked if we wanted her to help us take the pictures. And it turned into an entire photo shoot!!!

She took time out of her own evening to take pictures of Leo and I for me. She helped us scope out different spots and not once did she ever make us feel like she had something else better to do. It was such a blessing and such a reminder to me of how real God is in our lives and how GOOD people are. Thank you SO much @sky_silva for being such an incredible human and taking time out of your evening to take some pictures of Leo and I. I’ll seriously treasure these forever!! 💛💛💛

So, there’s a simple reminder to us all that most of the time God will answer your prayers through other people, and there are some really, really incredible humans in this world. He works in mysterious ways and I’m so grateful for His hand in our lives!

Here’s Sky’s response to my post, her side of the story:

“I feel so blessed that the Lord used me as an answer to your prayer. My side of the story is quite similar to yours. I had been having a very difficult week with school, work and taking care of my sweet new puppy. I felt so down, tired and discouraged and wondered how I was going to make it through the next week. My roommate was out of town and with most of my friends living in a different state, I felt so alone. I went to church and a woman shared how she and her husband and son had gone for a drive up alpine loop that morning because church wasn’t until 1pm and how beautiful the Lords creations are! I had an immediate prompting to go for a drive up alpine loop when church got out. I left church and went home to grab my camera, thinking I may want to take a picture or two, and made sure my pup was all tucked in for his nap. Then I was off!! The drive up was beautiful and I contemplated stopping and taking pictures at many places along the way, but something kept telling me to drive a little further. So I did. I finally stopped at a fork in the road near the little stream and got out to take some pictures. I explored the area for about 30 minutes snapping many photos. I was getting ready to leave when I saw you, your sweet son and dear friend. I knew that meeting you all was my reason for being up there at that time. You made me feel so welcomed, loved and accepted. I was so genuinely happy to be with you and Leo and see the deep bond you two have. I left feeling strong and like my tank was full. I knew that I could handle another week of whatever crazy thing came my way. I didn’t feel so alone anymore, because I knew that the Lord was with me and was mindful of what I was going through. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father’s prompting took me up to the mountain that afternoon to meet you and Leo. I will forever treasure the love I felt from Him through you. You’re incredible and were an answer to my downtrodden and exhausted prayers❤️❤️❤️”
